What is the Solar for Apartment Program?
The Solar for Apartment program offers funding up to $100,000 for installing rooftop solar systems on eligible apartment complex in the ACT. This funding includes both 50% grand and 50% zero-interest loans that the owners corporations will need to pay back. To get the funds, owners corporations need to apply for the program.
What is the eligibility criteria for applying to the program?
- Be identified as a Class A unit plan
- Be completed development at the time of application (ongoing development and proposed development is not eligible)
- Not already have rooftop solar installed
- Have an average unimproved value of $300,000 or less in any year from 2022
- All residents of the premise must benefit from the solar installation
- Located within the ACT
How to start with the Solar for Apartment program?
To complete the registration for the program online, you’ll need to:
- Provide details of your apartment complex and nominate a contact
- Read and understand the Terms and Conditions of this program
- Complete the Self-Assessment for Loan Eligibility
