We believe solar power can inspire your dreams.

REC is short for Renewable Energy Corporation. The company was founded in Norway but now carries out all production in Singapore.

They produce tier 1 panels with 20 year product warranty (or 25 years if they’re installed by a REC certified installer) and a 25 year performance warranty.

REC has an Australian office in Melbourne. Having a physical local presence is pretty important for building confidence in the brand and properly supporting its customers in Australia.

What is a Bloomberg Tier 1 Solar Panel ?

Bloomberg’s infamous tier 1 ranking is NOT a measure of Solar Panel quality in any way. It is simply an indication of the bankability of the manufacturer based on publicly released information on the financial health of the company. This should give you an idea if the company is a large, well-known manufacturer.

What is PV Evolution Labs Top Performer?

PV Evolution Labs with support from DNV GL independently test solar panel reliability. The tests are voluntary, with solar panel manufacturers paying to participate in the testing. This testing process is internationally renowned and is an accurate reflection of the solar panel’s performance.

Why is office location in Australia Important?

Most solar panel manufacturers entering the Australian market first set up their distribution channels and worry about customer service later. This has led to many unhappy customers who are left trying to contact Chinese head offices to claim on their 10-year product warranty.

Alpha Pure R Series

The latest release from REC is the new Alpha Pure R series which is built on a completely new 80 cell format resulting in a wider and shorter panel and boosting efficiency to an impressive 22.3%. Power output also increases from 410W to a maximum of 430W.

  • Increased number of wires greatly improves flow of electricity current
  • Eliminating invasive soldering removes risk of cell damage or microcracks for long-lasting high performance
  • Stylish looks thanks to thin, barely-visible wires and uniformly black-colored cells
  • Full-black variant is a design masterpiece and the most elegant feature for your home
  • Solder-free cells
  • Environmentally-friendly manufacturing drastically reduces carbon footprint

Twin Peak 5 Black Series

REC TwinPeak 5 Black Series solar panels feature an innovative design with high panel efficiency and power output, enabling customers to get the most out of the space used for the installation. Combined with industry-leading product quality and the reliability of a strong and established European brand, REC TwinPeak 5 Black Series are ideal for residential and commercial rooftops worldwide.

  • More power output per m2: REC TwinPeak 5 panels are packed with the same advanced REC TwinPeak technologies that won REC multiple awards. This p-type mono variant offers higher power output per square meter of panels installed.
  • More performance in shaded conditions: Panels with REC TwinPeak technologies have a unique “twin” design, which enables them to generate electricity even when they are partially shaded. Over time, you get a higher yield from your installation.
  • More cost efficient: By delivering more power per square meter, you need fewer REC TwinPeak 5 panels to generate the same power. This means quicker installation times and the need for fewer components such as clamps and racks. All of which reduces your overall costs, shortening the payback time.
  • Super-strong frame design: REC TwinPeak 5 come with extra support bars across the rear of the panel, greatly boosting its strength and durability, and allowing loads of up to 7000 Pa – far exceeding the 5400 offered by conventional panels. This added strength enables you to achieve much higher energy yields. Combined with a 30 mm frame height, this frame design enables flexible installation options, making overcoming every obstacle easier during system design.
